JG Melon’s
JG Melon’s is on of New York’s perennial powerhouses and has been doing what they do best and thats burgers. Simplicity is the key to success at this Upper East Side culinary landmark for city dwellers and tourists. You won’t be finding anything fancy at this cash only establishment but a cash register circa 1930 and a burger on a plate with a beef patty, american cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. Want fries…you’re darn right you’ll have some fries (make it two orders) as these things are as good as it gets. Coin fries are small circular thin fries that are crispy and petite and hard not to pop in your mouth one after another. And oldie but a goodie and thats why we keep going back to old Grandpa Melon’s.- BB

USMAGAZINE.com- Although many stars have turned to in vitro fertilization to conceive, Jennifer Lopez never considered it an option — and says she never will.
“When it comes to family and relationships, I’m quite traditional,” the star, 40, tells the February issue of Elle magazine. “Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you don’t mess with things like that.”
BLUE RIBBON BAKERY
A burger joint and hook you and reel you in but so can the fries. The Blue Ribbon Bakery burger won’t be winning any awards from the BB anytime soon but the fries are worthy of a “Best of 2009″ award without a doubt. The cheesefries are some of the best on the street and would put them up against the rest of New York’s finest. These fries are simple and get right to the point with just cheese and potatoes. I know some of you might be saying well the rosemary garlic or the truffle aioli or the Tarragon butter fries at XYZ or ABC are so delicious. Yea maybe, but when I say cheese fries I mean cheese fries with no strings attached or glitz and glamour and these fries exemplify that. Case closed, Best Fries of 2009.- BB

DBGB Burger
This newcomer from executive chef Daniel Boulud demonstrates his versatility and “out side of the box” food from his notorious restaurants Daniel and Bar Boulud . Bring your patience and a newspaper to get into this NoHo hot spot as burgers are New York City’s favorite and this one is climbing the ranks, fast! The Yankee and the Piggy are two of the post popular burgers (don’t forget your wallet too $$$) and are obvious choices. The scene is the worth the trip as well with a very chic bar area and dining area. – BB
Dear Burger Boy,
As I sat down for an early New Years eve meal with my burger babe at DGBG, I decided to txt the Burger boy to see if he had any thoughts on French restaurateur Daniel Boulud’s newest addition. As I expected I got an almost instantaneous and informative response: “Frenchie or Piggy?”
Ahhh of course the Burger Boy had been to DGBG to try their feature burgers and of course he didn’t include the third, ironically more boring and simple burger in his response, “The Yankee”; well met Boulud, well met indeed… “The Yankee” with a plain lettuce, tomato, and onion topping is an overpriced (~$20) child of a burger and is not worth consideration (I may be over thinking it a bit here…).
So, while I hate to give anything French a positive review, “The Frenchie’s” perfectly sized patty, crispy pork belly topping, and homemade mustard atop a slightly peppered bun is amazing. “The Piggy” sports a pulled pork and jalapeno mayo making it an equally legit order.
The fries are average at best but not to worry, it is acceptable and even suggested that you order sides of DGBG’s hand made sausages with you burger. Do yourself a favor and get a side of “DGBG Dog” or the cheese filled Viennoise. Also note that you can add a second patty to “Monster” your burger for 5 bucks extra although I don’t think it is necessary.
Overall DGBG is bit overpriced and delivers a typical soft French slap in the face to the ol’ US of A, but I suggest you suck it up and get French when hanging with your burger babe in the east village or lower east side!

Five Guys has taken New York City by storm and has flooded neighborhoods with burger joints and delicious ones at that from the East Village to the Upper West Side. Five Guys comes to us from DC (even the prez, Barry Obama, has been seen dining here) and has customers coming back for more. Double patties and toppings that you can customize to tickle every burger lover’s fancy. From pickles to A1 Sauce if you can’t find a topping that will titillate your tastebuds then you better find a new favorite hobby other than eating. CELEBRITY-GOSSIP.net- Showing off her perfect figure, Melissa Satta was back out in a bikini
on Miami Beach on Friday afternoon (January 1).
The Italian hottie is spending the winter holidays in the southern Florida hotspot alongside her footballer beau, Christian Vieri.
Making for quite the pleasant sight, Miss Satta had to adjust her bikini bottombefore putting on her jean shorts and returning to her beach front hotel.
For those of you out there unfamiliar with Melissa, she’s best known for her portrayal of a showgirl on the Italian TV show “Striscia la notizia”.
