NYMAG.com- The definitive old-school Meatpacking District steakhouse, complete with a tacky cow sculpture out front, the now-shopworn Old Homestead has seen better days. But it still serves up some of the best steaks in town, and the experience is inimitable. Who knows, with the resurgence of this neighborhood as a destination for diners and revelers, the Old Homestead may someday soon be rewarded for hanging on all these years. — Steven A. Shaw

My own recommendation is the Boneless Ribeye…a premier cut that is cooked to prefection. A char grill crust full of flavor and texture with a tender pink/red center that melts in your mouth. It doesn’t get much better than this and can fill up the best of ‘em at 20 oz. a cut. Man does this steak means business. The porterhouse for two is also a douzy for you and yourlady friend to enjoy. . Buuuuut, getting down to the important stuff and a MUST on this menu is the American Kobe Beef Burger also weighing in at 20 oz. This thing will surely grow some hair on your chest and leave a smile on your face. What are you waiting for…get down there and make it happen- BB
