Across the pond, on the water, in Newport Pavonia stands a chic spot that draws business folks from nearby firms like Knight, AXA Equitable and JP Morgan. Happy Hours and employee send-offs seem to find themselves here as guys in suits motor down adult beverages and gals sprinkle themselves in between conversing about business and shoes. Word to the wise bankers, broads and bros, stick to the beer and pass on the burgers. The buns were stale, the meat was weak and overdone and simply just lacked enough flavor. The highlight of the dish was the side of A1 Sauce that I needed to smother over the burger in order to lube up the dried out bun to slide down. (A1 is the bee’s knees…thank you for saving me tonight). Bottom line, the sliders sucked but suds were good.
