The UES cornerstone for burgers, JG Melon’s, is a force to be reckon with in a sirloin showdown.  This simple but superb burger can go pound for pound with any burger in New York City, you name it.  The “Cheeseburger” is juicy and full of natural beef flavors topped with American Cheese, Red Onions and a heaping helping of sandwich pickles (bonus points & Porter points…[Proter Points- A dude that loves his pickles]).

I do not usually get into much detail about the fries but I can’t help myself on this one.  A bowl of coin fries can be added and this is a must..let me repeat…this is a MUST.  These are circular fries that are small but extra crispy.  Picture a close-to-perfectly shaped potato chip,  french fry consistency in the middle, and a crisp chip-like finish on the outside.  If you don’t order at least two orders for yourself you are crazy.  If you are not catching my drift, word to the wise, double up on the fries.

Friendly Reminder: Hit up your local ATM as this is an old-school CASH ONLY establishment.  Also, bring some patience as the wait can be somewhat lengthy even on school nights.  Kick back, relax, order some pints and strike up some conversation with some of the regulars (you may see some celebs/important people) or the friendly bartenders.
