Don’t be stupified to not have your burger crunchified at this new Bobby Flay signature addition,The Burger Palace. This new hot spot creates a diner-like experience with that good older burger shoppe twist. Tonight I chose to roll up my sleeves and dive into the Dallas Burger.
Black Angus beef encrusted in a Tex-Mex rub then topped with Monterey Jack cheese, coleslaw, BBQ sauce and pickles. This beefwich will surely leave a mess on your plate and the front of your shirt. To make it an official ‘crunchified’ experience thin and crisp potato chips are placed underneath the top of the lightly toasted bun. (Try the Crunchburger or note any other burger can be Crunchified). The trio of coleslaw, BBQ sauce and Jack cheese tantalized my tastebuds to create a true Dallas BBQ beef creation. Although the beef was slightly overdone, the juicy toppings made up for the medium-rare miss.
The side sauces are a must to mingle with your burger of choice!! The choices range from Chipotle Ketchup, Burger Sauce, Jalepeno Hot Sauce, Yellow Mustard and Ketchup. The Chipotle Ketchup and the Jalapeno Hot sauce take the cake as the others are for the birds. The Chipotle Ketchup gives off a smokey heat while the Hot Sauce is mild and sweet with a slight kick. The combination not only compliments the burger but is good enough to mop up with the fries. Word to the wise; skip the onion rings and double up on the fries.
